In 2011 there were three nominations for Best Animation BAFTA. Matthias Hoegg with ‘Thursday’, David Prosser’s ‘Matter Fisher’ and the film above ‘The Eagleman Stag’ by Mikey Please which deservedly won. I’m not saying either ‘Thursday’ or ‘Matter Fisher’ didn’t deserve to win, any other year and they would have but ‘The Eagleman Stag’ film isn’t just beautiful animation, it’s also a really well written story. I’m in total awe at how Mikey made this.
